Max for Maya as a Roman Soldier

Threw this together in less than 30 minutes, but I really needed a quick character and stance image. So I recovered Max from my early 2014 files, applied shaders to his body, and quickly modeled a shield and sword. This is obviously not a finished version of a character, but it's a placeholder that needed to get done quickly. My thought process behind this was: "What would this character as an Amiibo look like?"

I have textured Max up to look like an ancient Roman soldier (that's completely not history accurate), as my team and I are still working on our Breakout clone, Phalanx. There is not much animation at all, but my art style was to make all sprites out of 3D models. So even if I'm moving a few controls around and making poses, I enjoyed this relaxing work. I love working with Max in general as it was the first time I'd experienced rigging, poses, and the importance of body language and facial features, all first-hand.
